inter airport Europe 2025: AEME GSE Showcases New ECOTUG Mobile Ground Power Unit

AEME GSE has showcased it's all-new ECOTUG 90 mobile ground power unit (GPU) at this year's edition of inter airport Europe in Munich.

The GPU has been specifically designed for civil aviation environments and aims to serve as a clean 400Hz power supply, supplying an alternative to traditional fuel-powered auxiliary power unit (APU).

Equipped with both battery fire suppression and system-wide fire safety features; the ECOTUG 90 features an LFP Power Battery, thermal management system and battery management system.

The ECOTUG 90 utilises a mobile power system to provide power solutions in environments where it otherwise might not be possible, such as in a remote location or in an emergency.

Also showcased at AEME GSE’s stand is the company’s M45D Motorised Cable Reel, which provides a 45-metre cable and utilises a double drum and a motorised chassis.
