AEME GSE's Innovations for Green Airports

Green airports are at the forefront of global aviation’s drive for sustainability. By shifting to low-carbon energy, leveraging smart digital technologies, and fostering industry collaboration, airports are advancing greener operations, infrastructure, and markets. This approach creates a low-carbon, circular model of airport development and propels the aviation industry toward a more sustainable future.

The Aircraft Ground Power Unit (GPU) is vital for airports. It supplies reliable power to aircraft on the ground. This reduces fuel use and lowers carbon emissions. AEME GSE is a global leader in this technology.

    What's Next?

Three Key Pathways to Accelerate the Green Airport Transition

    • Green and Low-Carbon Energy Supply

Airports are using more renewable energy like solar, wind, and geothermal. In the future, they’ll develop more local solutions to cut fossil fuel use and keep energy clean and low-carbon.

    • Integration of Intelligence and Digitalization

By combining smart control systems with energy management, airports can better manage how green energy is generated, stored, shared, and used. This boosts efficiency, cuts carbon, and supports cleaner, smoother operations.

    • Coordinated Industrial Development

Building green airports also brings industries together — from renewable energy to smart tech. It creates a full green supply chain, helping both the airport and the local economy grow sustainably.
